There are many ways you can get involved with Creative Handicrafts apart from having us manufacture your clothing line or promotional products.
You can contribute to sponsorship programs for children's education and training women to sew. If you are looking for Fair Trade clothing and gifts, you can visit our 3 retail shops in Mumbai, or even arrange for a pop-up shop to come to your location.
Exposure Visits
The best way to get a sense of what is happening at Creative Handicrafts is to come and visit us. It's a wonderful opportunity to interact with the women and better understand the workings of a Fair Trade organization.
We'll show you around our headquarters - a modern purpose-built facility that is the administrative hub of the Cooperative. Here the designers work their magic and finished products are checked and packed ready for shipping. Next, you can visit the nearby community-based production facilities to see the manufacturing in action.
Contact our staff to organize your Exposure visit to the Cooperative Groups.
Volunteering & Internships
From time to time we offer internships and volunteer positions. Minimum commitment: 1 month.
Internships
Looking for a fashion internship? If you are a diploma, undergraduate or graduate student in fashion and textile design we could have an opportunity for you! Note, we only consider interns sponsored by a recognized educational institution.
We have previously hosted interns from NIFT Kolkata, Mumbai's Sofia College, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, SNDT College of Home Science and Nirmala Niketan College of Home Science.
Volunteers
We welcome volunteers from abroad. It is a wonderful opportunity to observe and contribute to the operation of a respected Fair Trade business. You also get to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and flavors of Indian culture.
